Item Packaging
Packaging your donations, assigning them to your various sales, and
putting them in the order you want doesn't have to be hard. The
form below shows all the donations for your event. Here, they
are sorted by project tag first, making it easy to package these
items together. You can also choose to hide items from the list, if
they've already been packaged, or if you have not yet received them.

Many of your packages will only contain one donation. For
these, just select
which sale you want the package sold in, select the
donation, and click "Create New Package With Donation." A new
package will be added to the sale with the next item number. Best yet, when creating packages this way,
AuctionBase's Auto-Init feature runs automatically. Each new package
will have its title, description, conditions, and credits fields
filled in from their donation's data. Packaging all your single
items can be done in minutes!
At the top of the auction packages form, shown below, all of your
packages are displayed in an ordered, searchable list. Below the
list are the details of the selected item.

Once you have a few packages put together, you may wish to rearrange
them. This is especially important for presentation effects during
your live auction. To move an item to a new position in the order,
simply type the item number in place of the old one. AuctionBase
will sort it into its new place.
What if you change the information for a package after printing your
bid sheets, displays, or catalog? No problem. AuctionBase keeps
track of items that have changed, and marks them to be updated. You
can reprint just the bid sheets or displays that have been changed. Printing a catalog addendum is easy. Only new packages
and those that
have been changed will be included in the print job. Of course, you can always
include or exclude any item from printing if you wish. |
