Bid Sheets
AuctionBase provides you with all the bid sheets and reporting
sheets you could ever want.
Many options are available for your silent auction. If you choose to
have bid levels pre-defined, AuctionBase will calculate them for
you. Two basic types are available. The first, and most commonly
used type, calculates bid levels with a "flat percentage," where
each consecutive bid level is some percentage greater than the last.
The second type calculates bid levels by adding a "flat dollar"
amount to form each new level.
You can also opt to have a guaranteed purchase bid, or to leave the
bidding open-ended. In addition, you can include spaces for bidders
to sign their name, or leave these out. Finally, we provide a
special half-sized bid sheet, for use where table space is at a
premium. The pictures below show you examples of AuctionBase's
silent auction bid sheets.

Below is a full sized bid sheet, with pre-defined bid levels
calculated with a flat percentage (7-11% works well). A guaranteed
purchase bid level and lines for bidder signatures are also
included.

Below is a portion of a full sized sheet with no guaranteed purchase
box. 30 pre-defined bid levels are printed on the sheet, then blank
lines are provided below that. Note that a preferred minimum bid
amount is shown.

On this sheet, no pre-defined levels have been included, except for
the minimum bid amount.
This picture shows a half-sized bid sheet. While these sheets do not
allow you space for bidder signatures, they are an excellent choice
for saving paper and silent auction table space.

Below is a special type of bid sheet, used for buy-in items. Rather
than outbidding each other, this sheet allows bidders to sign up for
an item at a set price. There are many lines printed as spaces
available in the item.

Below is an example of a live auction recording sheet. Often, if the
donor of a popular item is available at an event, they will allow
the auctioneer to sell a second or even third copy of the item. Each
live auction recording sheet has spaces for up to three sales.

Special appeals ask for cash donations from the bidders for some
specific cause. The picture to the left shows a recording sheet used
for reporting special appeal bids from a live auction to data entry.
Signature spaces are provided, should you wish your runners to
collect them after the bidding is done.
