Getting Started
This section describes the tasks, other than staffing, that should be completed during the earliest planning phases for your event. Before doing business with your organization’s money, you should set a budget. You should also secure your venue and caterer, auctioneer, and emcee. This is also the time to select the date and theme for your event.
 
The need for these things should be obvious, but all of the things you must consider when shopping for them may not be. Therefore, most of these subjects are presented as lists of things you should consider when addressing them.
