Design & Print Tickets
While you won’t probably start selling tickets until just before your event, you’ll want to get them designed and printed early. This gets the task out of the way for later when other things are going on. More importantly, though, starting this early gives you plenty of time to do the design and get them printed without having to rush through it at the last minute.

You may have more than one kind of ticket to consider. For admission tickets, you may offer tickets for just your silent auction and others for the full event, including dinner and the live auction. Uniquely numbered tickets will be needed for raffles drawings. Tickets might also be needed for one of the games you have available at your event.

A very quick, simple solution is to purchase spools of numbered “theater” type tickets. These tickets aren’t very fancy, but they are readily available, come in different colors for your different uses, and require very little effort to get.

Most groups doing larger events will want to design and print tickets that reflect the theme and mood of the event. For this reason, the decorations person, although not necessarily responsible for the tickets’ design and printing, should be consulted. While these tickets require more of a production effort, they can be great advertising, include more information, and even be a nice keepsake of your event.

Your office supply store should carry perforated stock that is made for printing tickets. Some of these stock papers even have unique numbers already printed on ticket and stub sections. Just add your artwork and text, and you get custom raffle tickets.
